On November 27, VLAST announced that it had taken legal action against X user who shared private informations about the members of the virtual boygroup PLAVE and defamed them.
The lawsuit was filed in July of this year. Despite the defendant’s offer of a settlement, the company rejected the offer, emphasizing its commitment to protecting the privacy and image of artists. The case is currently being investigated by the police. VLAST also appealed to fans to help prevent such activities, asking them to report any malicious content and similar incidents.
PLAVE, who debuted last year, have become a sensation in the kpop world, gaining many fans who support the virtual band consisting of 5 members whose real identities have not been revealed. Their achievements are reflected in their nominations and wins of music awards in both virtual artist and human categories. This year, they appeared on stage performing at one of the biggest music awards in Asia – MAMA, and will soon perform live at the upcoming Melon Music Awards
